Playoff qualification and Seeding

The following system will be used to determine seeding for Sunday's games is as follows:

Group Play games will not end in a tie.  Penalty kicks will follow immediately (3 vs. 3, then 1 vs. 1) to determine a winner.

Forfeits = 6-0 win 

Men's Open A

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination). 

Men's B1

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination). 

Men's B2 - There are some group play games on Sunday morning - Playoff teams will be determined after these games.

10 teams (2 groups of 5) - 4 Group Play games. 3 Group winners, plus 2nd place teams will qualify for the Open B1 division semi finals A1 vs B2, B2 vs A2(Single elimination). 

Men's Over 30 - There are some group play games on Sunday morning - Playoff teams will be determined after these games.

10 teams (2 groups of 5) - 4 Group Play games. 3 Group winners, plus 2nd place teams will qualify for the Open B1 division semi finals A1 vs B2, B2 vs A2(Single elimination). 

Men's Over 40

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination). 

Women's A

6 teams (2 groups of 3).  3 Group Play Games.  Group Winners Seeded #1 & #2 receive a bye to the Semi-Final round.  Seed #3 vs Seed #6 and Seed and Seed #4 vs Seed #5 in playoff round.  If possible, teams will not play a team they have played in group play unless there is no other option.

Womens B

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination). 

Coed A

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination).  in group play unless there is no other option.

Coed B

8 teams (2 groups of 4) - 3 Group Play games. A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, B1 vs A4, B2 vs B3 (Single elimination). 

Coed 30

4 teams (1 group of 4). 3 Group Play Games.  Teams are seeded #1 to #4 after 3 group play games.  Seed #1 vs Seed #4 and Seed #2 vs Seed #3 in semifinal round.  Winners play in the Final.

Tie breaking procedures to determine qualification and seedings

If teams are tied with the same record; the following procedure is followed to break the tie, to determine seeding for the second day of play.

  1. Head to Head if applicable
  2. Total Wins
  3. If teams are still tied in the standings then the following tiebreakers will apply.
  4. Goal differential.  Maximum of 6 goals plus per game (i.e. 10 to 2 win is a maximum of +6 or same as a 8 to 2 win).
  5. Goals For
  6. Goals Against

SUNDAY

Winners for games ending in ties on Sunday will be determined by a penalty kick shootout (3 vs. 3, then 1 vs. 1).
